Great Range Bison brings you the finest bison cuts directly from the premier bison ranches in North America. Our bison are raised without the use of antibiotics or growth hormones and are fed a vegetarian diet of grasses and grains. For the past 30 years, we have worked closely with our rancher/producers to ensure their bison are raised sustainably. Through this partnership we can bring you, the consumer, the best fresh bison cuts on the market today.

Strasburg KOA

On the initial leg of our trip we sprinted across the country from Goldston NC to Strasburg CO only stopping in West Virginia and Kansas to “pop-up” and sleep. We’ve been in Strasburg now for 3 nights filming at the West Bijou Ranch, Rocky Mountain Natural Meats, and Memphis Ranch.

Our 32 year old pop up camper is hanging in there! Super easy to tow although a little crunched for space and not exactly ideal for KOA sites close to the interstate. But we’ve managed and the journey has been exciting!

ON THE ROAD VLOG | We’re Out Of Time

Travel Blog Part 3 for NATIVE | Prodigies of an Icon. In order to make the trailer | pilot for the documentary we had to figure out a way to dramatically cut costs. Since travel costs are a large part of documentary filming we decided the best way to achieve our goal was to invest in a camper.

Charlie took the project beyond a standard repair or renovation… it’s more like a total rebuild! But we are running out of time and need to hit the road. Can he get the project completed?

A LONG OVERHAUL

We’ve just spent the past two weeks working around the clock through two major tropical disturbances to prepare this old 1989 camper for the trip out west. There’s still so much work to be done!

The camper will have new floors, new paint, new electrical, new plumbing, new tires, even a new exterior aluminum siding. When we realized the only way to repair the floor was to rebuild it… that’s what we did!

Here are a couple sneak peaks of what’s happening with the camper overhaul. Charlie was up until Midnight last night working on the camper and will likely pull another late night tonight!

We’ll have some better photos soon… the big reveal! Where ever that might be.

ON THE ROAD VLOG | We Went Overboard!

Travel Blog Part 2 for NATIVE | Prodigies of an Icon. In order to make the trailer | pilot for the documentary we had to figure out a way to dramatically cut costs. Since travel costs are a large part of documentary filming we decided the best way to achieve our goal was to invest in a camper.

Problem is, the camper needed a lot of work and Charlie has taken it to a whole new level of “renovation.”

Gearing Up!

We are gearing up and getting ready for our first cross country trip to film some incredible Bison Ranches! To cut travel costs, the Meet My Neighbor Productions team has been working around the clock at restoring this vintage Palomino Pop-Up. While it isn’t an ideal habitat heading into Yellowstone Country (Grizzly Country), our crew is determined to make it work… what could possibly go wrong.

The Palomino will be updated with outlets and charing stations for all our gear as well as a face lift and a… well back lift (we found some serious rot issues). You’ll have to stay tuned for the big reveal!

It’s crunch time before the long haul and we can’t wait to meet everyone!

North Carolina Zoological Park

The North Carolina Zoological Park is home to an exceptional herd of Great Plains Bison. From the Yanasa Ama Ventures video library some of these magnificent animals will be seen in NATIVE | The Prodigies of an Icon.
